Morven Ferguson b.1998 (she/her) is an Edinburgh based artist. The colour, changing light and atmosphere of Scottish landscapes are reflected in her printmaking. She draws on familiar coastlines of the east of Scotland, including East Lothian, as her inspiration.   Morven explores the interplay between modern and traditional printmaking processes within her work, using the digital method of laser engraving combined with relief printing. As a recent member of Edinburgh Printmakers studios, she continues to explore this contemporary process of printmaking.  Morven amalgamates mono printing, a long established printing technique, achieving a painterliness of brush marks and colour palette with the contemporary process combining laser engraving and relief printing.
